In addition to our focus on delivering clinically relevant Gastroenterology tests to assist physicians in diagnosing and treating disease, Exagen offers a Discovery Services program to Pharmaceutical and Diagnostic companies. Our co-development and project-based work covers the full spectrum of testing, from "wet lab" specimen testing/data collection to validation, to final production and testing of the marker set in the desired assay format.

The foundation for these Discovery Services begins with our discovery engine, Coperna®. Using this proprietary technology, Exagen can rapidly identify the smallest marker sets (DNA or RNA) that are optimal for a defined purpose. Exagen has completed more than 10 projects in various indications, proving the validity of our approach. We have consistently discovered sets with 3-5 markers, offering efficiency of implementation and economy of scale.

We are not limited to delivering tests within a particular disease category or test platform. Rather, Exagen's delivery system allows for its assays to be brought to market on the most convenient and effective testing platform appropriate for the assay.
